This waterer has 4 nipples at the bottom. The birds were never watered this way, but they had absolutely NO issue with figuring out how to use it!! Herbs, vitamins and such can be added easily to the waterer as well. We purchased the nipples online, dozen for $3.00-free shipping!! *wood was from neighbors project, *food grade jug from "free" pile, *tow-strap was from a throw away pile. *Pallet was free. Total cost ....75cents!!! , plus we have 8 nipples extra !!

The little coop inside the run is for broodies(mostly to break), grow-outs and meat birds. We decided it would work better for us to just keep it in there instead of removing it every time. To really clean it after each use, i do use bleach-soap & water, after that dries completely, it gets a very good spray down of homemade 'natural' spray. (lots of citrus oils/ spices/herbs + vinegars) We use sand to cover the bottom of the small coop run area & pull out tray. Makes clean up super easy, also keeps toes clean & dry.

Cost $$-nothing... Sunflowers, broccoli, tomatoes, peas, lettuces and lots of 'weeds'...all of the tomatoes are volunteers from the big garden. Did not 'pay' for any of these plants, seeds and plants from existing gardens and seeds collected from previous years.
