Sorry for the awful picture. I put vinyl netting on the rafters to keep the girls from roosting up there, they were getting poop everywhere. I'm trying to contain the majority of the mess under the roosting bars for cleaning purposes.
How did things go with putting mesh on the rafters? I am...I was looking at ways to discourage my flock from roosting in my rafters (instead of their roosting bar) and pooping ALL of the floor, your pictures came up. Great idea with the mesh fencing on the rafters. Thanks for sharing

1 of 4. This gorgeous pair (hen and rooster) bantams were hatched March 2013.Both have bright golden tear drop patterns of their breast. They are a cross between a golden sea bright and a partridge cochin. I never hear this guy crow. They are cute and quiet for chickens, but I have too many roosters. $10.00 for both or best offer.
