    Well our update on the two sussex eggs. one ended up not being fertile, got cracked and was a mess. The other hatched sometime last night but the chick didn't survive. The broody hen was still sitting in nest this morning found chick under her. Perhaps it being her first time she didn't know...

    She is a beautiful Momma. This is also our first time hatching eggs. Our one Cochin went broody so we gave her two speckled sussex eggs to sit on she's got another week to go till we see. I was thinking of moving her and the eggs out of the area of the other 7 hens. What do you think?
