According to the book "Back to Basics" you need 2 square feet of floor space per bird. It is my opinion that you have enough space for your flock size right now and if you move it frequently should not have any trouble! But I've been wrong before. My chickens are not pets and are not pampered...

Do all Leghorns act crazy or are there differences in the strains/colors? I was thinking of getting some brown leghorn chicks this spring. Also, can you tame them down?

Also have used the baked egg shells 2x and have oyster shells available!
