We had a baby chick hatch today! Yay! But mama ate the remaining egg shell so idk who is the real mama. Besides the point. This mama has tried to kill a baby before, not one she's been laying on...should I worry? She is still sitting on @ 15 eggs. I think there is a possibility for 3 more to...

So far everyone is doing well! I let them in the yard for the first time today, since frizzle died. I learned a lot from this sad experience. Hard way to learn :(

I will if another one gets sick...I am going to give them medicated food for a few days, to be safe.

She died while the vet was examining her :( they don't know what was wrong or if its contagious :(

Got home today to find my frizzle laying in the coop, not moving, looks to be barely breathing. When my son picked her up, fluid came from her mouth. She has a big swollen red hairless lump on her chest. Is it a tumor? She is about 15 months old. Of course, she is also my favorite chicken. :(
