Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I read that the same warnings on the bottle about slaughter so I just figured that I could wait the same period of time. It's good to know that someone has tried the eggs with no ill effects after about a week.
I guess my next question would be this...
I am treating my layers with Wazine because I found a roundworm in some poo in the coop. Does anyone know how long you have to wait before you can collect the eggs for use again?
:cdTo catch you all up on this.....This chicks were a little hesitant at first about going out into the run but some of them don't like going back in when play time is over. So far we have only been letting them out a few hours during the daytime. Only one of our hens is taking up with them so...
My husband read in a book that red heat lamps encourage picking. He said that the author said it resembles blood. Has anyone else heard of this? We've just been using a white lamp because of this and it seems to work fine.
Just to let everyone know.....We bought a couple of silkies from crzyelk and they are doing wonderful. He met us just as we planned and the chicks have done great.
I just wanted to say how nice and easy the transaction of buying silkies was for me and my husband . We bought from crzyelk and we would recommend them for others who are interested. The chicks are doing well and the price was right too. Thanks:)
I can meet you in the afternoon about 5 or 5:50.
E-mail me about the details please...meeting place details of the chicks and such.
Thanks
I won't have computer access after 7p tonight so hopefully you get this before then.
I noticed during the cicada season when we were feeding the little guys to our chickens...they loved them... that the chickens necks would show a swelling. I got worried at first but then soon realized they they were just getting a full belly. Hope that all that is wrong with your chicken...
