I may have found the problem! I have been using 2 spot check digital thermometers. One in the correct position on the sportsman and the other on the tray of eggs. They read 99.6-100 Since I have $140 in the peafowl eggs I bought I was tinkering with thermometers. I got out 2 of the gqf sportsman...
15 silkie eggs and 3 babys hatched. I opened some of the others. The babys are fully formed but dead. The sac is NOT broke and air chamber is probably 1/3 of the egg. No pipping either. GQF sportsman incubator set at 100 and temp on shelf 99.3 to 99.8 Humidity is about 55%on petsmart hygrometer...
Anybody feed their peafowl table scraps? My grandmother always fed scraps to her chickens and an uncle fed them to his peafowl. They would fight over the food that would otherwise be throne away. I never new of any health problems but I was pretty young.

These eggs were laid last Saturday so the fresh meter is running. I am starting to feel screwed...
mother nature and a broody can't even produce good results after the post office does their thing. Shipped eggs is gambling plain and simple! I know it is tempting but just NOT practical. I start preaching about this but have to confess I just spent 150 on 14 peafowl eggs BUT they are coming...

Ok! I read the article and saw the picture of the eggs positioned on the trays. I have those trays and understand now. How about humidity? 55-60%
I ordered from G&T peacocks and will be sent overnight. I have had my sportsman on all summer. Anything I need to know? Do I really need to lay them on their side instead of in the turner? 60% humidity. I have been messing with dry incubation without much luck on my pheasants and some chicken...
I am not sure what to look for when candling new shipped eggs. I assume a bubble that roles around in the egg as you turn it. If they are detached do you incubate or trash?
