She's eating and drinking fine but has this sneeze/cough for a few weeks.
I've wormed today and they've been getting ACV and garlic in their water.
She's the only one of 62 hens that's doing it.
Thoughts? Advise?
We hatched 28 peeps around May 20 2015 and 23 survived our newbie mistakes (moisture buildup...respiratory illness).
At 3 months we were confident that all the roos were plain to see so we advertised them in the local Valley Trader.
We kept what we thought we 13 hens and 2 roos. Cut to 5 months...
We hatched peeps May 20 2015 and the two Roos we kept were obviously male from the tales and combs. About one and a half weeks ago, I started to notice one of the girls tails started developing what looks like sickle feathers, but no obvious comb. Now look:
I stopped by TSC on the way home and pickup up a 15 lb bag of finisher.
Dumped out what was in the feeders and filled with the grower/finisher.
The three Roos on the right lost it when they saw the adults gobble up the layer I dumped out. They were happy as a clam when I placed their refilled...
Thank you. Chicken math is kickin in. Hmmm, 5 of the 7 peeps that hatched Aug 30 to Sep 17 appear to be boys. That means we need at least 38 more girl peeps.
