That was my plan. I'm not going to disturb them by moving them now - one of the males is sitting too for her. When they hatch I'm going to attempt to just block the others off until I can pop them in a brooder box. -

I don't want to remove them and disturb her from being broody, or remove them only for her to not sit the whole time anyway. I have no idea how long she's been sitting. I went to clean them out today... -

Broody Hen
We've hit a hurdle guys :( Mrs quail has stopped sitting properly! She's still pushing her eggs into the corner but she's doing a very half-arsed job to be quite honest. I've covered half the cage so she's less disturbed by me if - god forbid - I have to go in my room. Huff! -

My button quail has gone broody :D I have just separated her off today and am hoping for the best! According to her first owner, she's a great mum! -

We have lift off! Instead of hairspray I ended up using chalk which seemed to do the trick. Mamma and daddy quail are now alone and hopefully in a few weeks or more we might have babies! Wish me luck everyone! -

Hi guys. He's not mating, I know that for sure. He keeps yanking out their feathers and grabbing them and dragging them around the cage, and they make an awful lot of noise in the process. I've split him at the minute but I have the feeling he'll continue to attack. Pls the others seem more... -

I recently bought 8 new quail that live indoors. The lady kept them as three males as five females and she says they're never fought. However I have a male that very violently attacks basically everyone in the pen. Females mostly, actually. He's separate at the minute but I can't really keep... -
