ok so if i bought rhode island reds from Dels, they are hatchery chicks or "production reds" right? now if i hatch the eggs do i still have hatchery chicks? im just getting confused about this.. or would i have to get several gens in ? well thanks.......

i just finished doing my first chicken and thought i noticed the same thing ( especialy since i pulled to hard on the crop and ripped it open.) is that a really bad thing?!?! but even if the area smells the bird itself i found to be odorless

hi, I understand hot water to loosen the feathers ( and clean the bird?) do i use detergent ( like dawn? ) and how much? also wouldnt dunking it in cold water afterwards constrict the skin (feather follicles) back up? thanks...........
