Hi Bobbie!
If they grey chicks with the red heads are from my birds - you're going to get great color!!
I don't know about other lines, but I've had the most success from this chick down coloring!
Good luck!
We all know I'm terrible for pics, but the roos look just like any other typical color (at least mine do)
I have a really cute (white) columbian and already rehomed BC, black mottled, etc....
Hi all
Just wanted to say HI!
Have been totally busy with our new little boy!
Not planning on hatching until spring - working on culling down to the very best of the best.
Around here, gender doesn't seem to affect the short outer toe genetics (can't remember what Don called it...)
Now, if you're talking about BIGGER - my male chicks definitely have more bone than the girls, almost right from the start!
Hope that helps!
Thanks!
Once a week, every 2 weeks, monthly - when you notice a change - whatever works for you!
Either start a thread and give us a link
or right on thread and compile once in a while, so we can see the progress!!
I'm having lots of luck with this color down, so, hopefully, you can show...
Great pics again Country Boy!
AMY - the chicks in Country Boy's pics are the coloring I was talking about (greyish with red/brown heads)
I'm having lots of luck with this color chick down!!
Country Boy - will you do us all a favor and keep a photo journal of one or two of those...
Great!
Should be going through them soon - maybe next weekend?
This weekend was pre-breeding season maintenance for the goaties, next - sorting the birds!
