    They are amazing!
    The first one I had a close up with was swooping our chickens during their late afternoon free range time. It took me a pause or two to realize why it was swooping me so closely!
    So glad it did not get me with its talons!
    Since that time, I've a greater appreciation of them.

    Indeed they are.
    Strange that it was in the afternoon, must have been very hungry or something. I would love an encounter like that, however, the zoo is as close as I can get. :) Have you ever watch The guardians of Ga’hoole? The main protagonist is a barn owl.
