heat lamp scratched, Installed vents in brooder, covered holes with chicken wire, installed fans in coop to help keep the chicks and the flock cooler and made 2 chicken swings for the flock to play with.

Good advice I will cut holes in the sides of the brooder box and cover with Hardware cloth for ventilation.
Yes they will be kept in the same area as the rest of the flock.

I know what you mean. My sister had extra and was heading out of town so my wife and I took it home. So much Pie right after Christmas we just couldn't eat anymore. (Now if that would have been Pecan Pie I would have found a way) LOL

I just learned that my wife gave the chickens an entire pumpkin pie about 5 days ago. We've given them table scraps before but never anything as rich as a pie could that be why we are not getting as many eggs?
