Hey all! :)
I have two nigerian dwarf goats. I will be taking one of them to go and see about 10 kids for a summer camp in a few weeks. I was wondering what types of treats I could bring to let the kids feed her? I don't want her to get sick from having too many treats, yet I want each kid to...
I have a pair of Guineas and the male is super mean!! If you go outside he will run from where ever he is in the yard and come at you. I have a little dog house that I put their food and water in next to my duck pen, so every day when I take care of my ducks he chases me around out there as...
I just went out there and she was actually on 20 eggs . I looked at them and 6 were almost completely dark on the inside. One had a little black spot on it (actually was on the inside of the shell). I gave those 6 back to her and am now searching the internet on candling results lol. What are...
If I take the eggs out and check them and they happen to be fertilized, will my duck come back to the nest and continue to sit on them? Or will me going in there totally upset her?
Thanks!
One of my welsh harlequin females has been sitting on a nest she made with about 6 eggs in it for about a month now. The nest is inside of the house that I have for my ducks. She hardly ever comes out and is constantly sitting on the nest. I feel like by now (or soon) she should have some...
So I have 10 ducks and they currently use a little blue pool as their pond but it is impossible to keep it clean for more than a day so every day I have to bucket it out and start again! And it's pretty shallow so my question is would getting a koi pond with a filter last longer (as in stay...
Oh those aren't mine in the pic (I wish!! lol) But I have 10 ducks ( 6 runners and 4 silver welsh harlequins) and 3 guineas and I fill up a pretty decent sized feeder about once every two days. I just didn't know if they needed to have that or if I was going to have some pretty plump animals on...
My ducks are about 4 weeks old and eat soooo much! I was just wondering if ducks needed to have constant food (what mine have now) or do you just feed them once or twice a day?
I just got 10 ducklings and was just wondering what you all did in terms of handling them and getting them used to people. They are a week old so how long could I take them out of their cage and away from the heat lamp? Right now I am just taking them out one by one and holding them for a few...
Yeah I got some meal worms and have been trying to get them to eat out of my hand. One will pick it out of my hand if I hold it between my fingers but the other two just wait until it falls on the ground before they devour it lol I just don't want them to be so crazy when they are older!
So I got three guineas about two weeks ago. Every time I put my hand in the cage to get their food or water they go crazy! They run and hide in a corner and if you try and make any contact with them they do the same thing. And they scream at the top of their little lungs whenever I pick them up...
