Hi Daisy! I do have a few questions, including: My hen (she's a Buff Cochin) after she's hatched chicks, she keeps scratching up the food every time I put it out for her and her chicks. I have tried gravity feeders and things to keep her from scratching out the feed, but she always tips it over and ruins the feed. Do you have any suggestions?

Yes! I can help you! You might have a little chicken wire laying around, this can be a big help! One of my best suggestions is to place some chicken wire over your feeder, just make sure it is low to the ground so the chicks have access. Chicken wire has big enough holes for the chicks and mama hen to get their beaks in, and they won't be able to scratch up the feed!
