I have five 2-4 day old chicks and I was wondering when I could let them roam in the back yard for a while, supervised of course. They are in a crate in our greenhouse and I can tell mama hen wants to scratch around. Should I wait a few more days? thx!

I get eggs like this also with the raised bumps. In my case the shell was not strong at all. One of my hens goes through a period of producing this type of egg then it clears up. My guess is genetics aren't the greatest in this hen.
