    Our leaves are still hanging on but the mornings are much cooler now and it won’t be long till they start coming down.

    I had to come back and look at that egg again this morning it is just so beautiful! I agree that it looks more red brown than pink. Are the leaves really starting to turn where you are?

    Oh I agree on the needing them hand delivered!! That’s so funny. I just thought they were very pretty and unique. I’ve never seen anything like them and wonder how they would have come about.

    so I was browsing eBay hatching eggs and some one is selling dark pink eggs. They say the eggs are from copper marans. I have not heard of this before—is there a fluke that sometimes prouduces these pink eggs? Does anybody know anything about this?

    Ezeo that’s kinda what I’ve experienced with these guys And I just don’t know what to think. I’ve got my heart set on some white chickens but I wonder if it’s a bad idea long term.

    well maybe they have the advantage during the winter then? These are actually the first white chickens I’ve had—mostly I’ve stuck to barred rocks—but because they were hand-me-downs—I got a variety! And it really is fun to have different colored chickens.
