    2013 Sebastopol Breeding/Gosling Thread

Sorry it took me so long, but I wanted to thank everyone for the comments about my goslings...they are healthy & so much fun! I have one that is a lot smaller than the other 4, but is just as lively as the rest so I'm assuming it's just going to be a runt. I'll get updated pics soon

I put my 10 Sebbie eggs on lockdown last night. I candled a couple of them as I moved them to the hatcher & their little beaks were in the air sac & they were moving around...*fingers crossed* that they all hatch out okay. This will be my first time hatching geese. I'm so nervous!!!!

    Emu Hatch-a-long 2012

I've been a bit busy so I haven't had time to update...turns out all 4 of my eggs were duds :( I know it's late in the season, but does anyone know where I might could purchase a few more to try? Believe it or not, our local pet store actually had 2 emu chicks for sale today...they have lost...

    Ameraucana or Easter Egger?

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but here goes....When I first got into chickens I didn't know how to tell an Ameraucana from an EE so I took the word of the person I bought from. I was sold a rooster that has the most gorgeous muffs & beard you will ever see, but he...

I can't take the turner out because they're in a cabinet incubator. There are 3 setting trays & I have other eggs in there as well. My tabletop incubator has 3 emu eggs in it that should have hatched anywhere from a few days ago to the next couple of days. I could move them to the tabletop...

Chukar as a pet! (Getting to know your chukar) Help needed

I hatched out 16 Chukar a several months ago and had them in my house in a Rubbermaid container with netting over it for the first 6 weeks. As soon as the little boogers could fly they started knocking the net off and getting out. Because I spent so much time with them, they would automatically...

    Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

This is my first time out incubating geese eggs...I have 11 Sebastopol eggs in my incubator. I set them 3/13, candled them yesterday & 10 are developing. My young brown Chinese (1 year old) started laying in January but she didn't have a mate at the time so they weren't fertile...didn't stop her...

    2013 Sebastopol Breeding/Gosling Thread

Hi everyone! I have always loved the Sebbies but was never able to find anyone around here that had any. Lucky for me, I've recently found a breeder about 45 miles from me. I bought 11 eggs from her at a steal because her incubators were full. I have them in my GQF 1502 Sportsman...I know it...

    Emu Hatch-a-long 2012

Still nothing happening with my eggs...I went back and double checked my stuff & realized I was wrong when I posted the other day. Today is Day 55, but my incubating temp has not been 97.5 like I said...I have 2 thermometers in there and the digital does fluctuate between 97-98, but my regular...
