We just saw a wart like spot on young hens eye and need help figuring out what it is, and if there's anything we can do. She seems healthy otherwise, and we've isolated her from the other chickens.
Thanks for all your help. We tried the olive oil bread and massaging her crop, couldn't try the q-tip very far, but it was clean at least 1-2 inches down. Her throat feels empty and her crop wasn't all that big. If it's gapeworm would TSC carry anything I could use to treat her? We'll have to...
I need health advice for our 2-3 month old Speckled Sussex pullet Mina. Watch this video to see whats wrong: http://youtu.be/Fcwacngm6Pk

We just noticed her coughing/sneezing (can't tell which) this evening when we let them out to run around. She came...
What do you think about these EE's? Their combs look like males to me but then I've only ever had 5 ee chicks They're about 6-7 weeks old.

The silkie is 7 weeks old and the other three were purchased from a lady who orders 100's of Ideal pullet chicks and then sells them when they're older. She thought they were around 6 weeks old but I thought closer to 4 weeks.
Hi, I have a silkie (st.run, 7weeks old), a specked susex, and 2 EE's that I needed help checking the gender on. Besides for the silkie they were all bought as pullets. Also, how old do you think the ee and ss are? Thanks!

Here are the new pictures I promised. After staring at our two EEs for awhile I think that Dove (one w/out muffs) could be a boy His/Her wing spots are very orange, and his/her comb is pinker... It's sad that out of 10 "pullets" we could have three roos, we did pay for pullets after all! Any...
Thanks for the help everyone! They do seem big for their age but everyone is six weeks old tomorrow. Maybe it's all the extra watermelon they love so much That or still sleeping in a pen in our kitchen, we don't have the heart to put them out in the cold coop!
So we have one definite roo and...
Turns out the production black was the 1/2 yellow chest, he stood out because of his more distinct yellow spot on his head, the others spots looked more diffused and were less visible. You could tell them apart once the feathers started coming in, the cuckoo's all had black feathers w/white...
Edit: So the BR is definitly a boy, and the EE is probably too. I posted new pics on page 2!
Hi, I need help with my Production Black Pullet, a Leghorn Hybrid from Ideal Hatchery in Texas. I'm suspicious its a male due to its comb and behavior (this kid will take on any dog or grown chicken it...
