ok. I have some corid. This is my first time with chicks. WhY is this happening? Previous picture was from one of my chicks, not adopted ones. My adopted chock looks like she is struggling to breath and very sleepy. She stretches her neck kind of like she is about to crow.
Oh it definitely came out of the 5 day old chick. My hen is separated from the flock and there is nothing in her poop. She is on my porch with ten chicks. Here is another picture. Can I even treat 5 day old chicks? How can they even get roundworms in 5 days?
My momma just hatched 7 baby chicks and we put 3 more day old chicks under her. Today (day 5) I've noticed that some poop looks like worms and one of the adopted chicks is struggling to breath. Her abdomen looks swolden as well. Picture of poop included
yeah... it looks more like day 6. My hen just hatched 7 chicks and what I have now is very similar to what I had on day 6 with my hen. I love red my temperature a bit,I will check on it and we will see I guess. I'm not going to give up.
I used infrared thermometer gun and it reads 99.6 and another one isnide is reading almost 101. I'm going to lower temperature in a minute.thank you so much. Oh and I candle the eggs and they seemed a little more developed for day 3.
My husband just got me my first incubator and we are trying our hand at hatching 12 eggs. I'm having issues with humidity. I added water to a reservoir and my humidity is around 60%. How do I get it down and what would be optimum? My eggs are about 3 days old now, should i discard them and start...
I have exactly the same problem. I was told it was coryza. We are not going to sell our birds or get new ones so I'm going to try to make them feel better and keep them. [/IMG]
