Hi, I'm looking for a source to buy turkey poults in Southern Indiana. We are interested in Bourbon Reds and Blue Slates, looking for 4 to 5 of each. Thank you!!

Hi All, I just completed our first hatch using the dry incubation method. I didn't add any water to the HovaBator until day 17 when it went into lockdown. The unit is in our basement and the humidity was 20-35% the whole time before lockdown and then I cranked it up to 90%. So far 15 of 19...

A "PEEPING" tom, now thats funny:ya I guess it all started at hatch time.....as a.....PIPPING tom??!!

Wow! Great pics. We have 7 heritage turkeys, 2 blck spanish, 2 naggarasett, and 3 eastern wild. They haven't roosted on our vehicles....yet. I hope they don't or my wife will have thanksgiving early!!

This is great information. We have seven 5 mo old turkeys, that we bought as poults (mixed heritage breeds) in with our chickens now. We're going to build a hoop house coop/run for them this fall to give them more room and get them to nest. Thanks for the info, I look forward to reading more!

Those DARN VARMITS!! We have them getting on our back porch and eating the cats food. I tryed a .22 pistol but it only drove them off for a while. Finally used my old SKS 7.62X39 with plastic training rounds and they work great at close range, got 3 raccoons and 1 opposum in one night. I...

My daughter (11) has been chased by our roos (barred rock, and americuna). I tell her to stand her ground and us a small stick or "switch" and chase them back, even hit them with it if she can. I try to explain to her that he thinks she is one of his hens and she knows what he does to them...
