I've had lots of cats but where I live in the mountians of nm the cats become coyote food:( because they want to go out and roam at night so now I have 2 dogs and 32 chickens

At what age did your welsummer hens start laying :)

This is one of my 4 month old welsummer roosters

I put down crushed oyster shell's it will stop the mud and it is good for the hens to eat eat it adds calcium

I got a box of chicks today 10 Welsummers and 15 golden comets

I have 6 golden comet hens this week because the weather is so different every day my hens haven't played a egg they were giving me 6 every day now it is none or 1 a day

I make my own beer and I have been giving the wet leftover grain to my chickens for years I had two bronze turkeys that were 3 weeks old I gave them some grain they died in 15:( minutes I didn't know it would hurt them I gave them a couple of tablespoons of grain:(

I ordered 10 welsummers and 15 golden comets a month ago from efowl they will be shipped May 1st hopefully I can't wait to get them I already have 6 1 year old golden comet hens and 2 young bronze turkeys

In Edgewood New Mexico on the last Saturday.of each month at the feed store a mile east of Wal-Mart there is a chicken trading day

All of the above and chickens are lots of fun

I thought my chickens were spoiled they don't get the hot tub treatment
