Here are some illustrations of part of what I am building.

Hi,
We have been using:
201975 PoultryNet Plug-In Energizer Kit
201945 PoultryNet 12/48/3 KIT (48"x164'), double spike
Doing well so far. Easy to move around. Glad to have the double spike version.
Still in fine shape after two years in service.
Make sure to follow directions on how to...
Looks like we are moving to Kentucky to work at Blue Grass Army Depot, near Richmond and Berea.
Any ideas on chicken friendly areas? We don't want to live in town and want
to have a few acres with a house in nice condition. I am tired of fixing up
every place we move in to. Might want to raise...
I mounted a fan in their house window.
I run it to pull hot air out so as not
to cause a draft. It is on a timer
to come on about 2 hours before
they return to their house at night.
This pulls in cooler air for them.

I've read that Muscovy ducks don't quack.
There is an article written by the fellow I bought my chickens from.

I recently posted this elsewhere, but it seemed relevant.
Mine go up to the roost area, but all ten pullets (about 9 wks old) hang off one side.
There are four roost bars, made of 2x2, each 4 ft long. They are all at the same height (4ft.), but on one side, near the ramp, I placed short...
I find it incredible to watch one of them eat a feather while surrounded by over 2,400 sq. ft. of grass and other edibles. Even while I'm holding out a treat, I've seen one pause to pick up and eat a feather.
Strange indeed are the thoughts and ways of chickens.

My pullets, about nine weeks old, have gotten so much bigger since they have been outdoors all day feasting on grass and whatever else they find. Then, when they go inside their house for the night, they gather round the feeder and eat as though they haven't had a thing all day. Their pop door...
I've given it as a treat, but not as a sole diet.
Last night, I took a couple of pieces of rigatoni and tore the cylindrical shape into strips with my fingers. They loved it. How they can eat macaroni without tomato sauce is beyond me. Maybe I'll try offering it with sauce tonight and see if it...

My droppings board is made of OSB painted with barn paint. The roosts are unpainted 2x2s, 4 feet long (four of them). All the roosts are the same height, 4 feet high with a ramp leading up to them. Below the roosts is chicken wire to keep the birds out of the droppings. The droppings board is...
Miss Seabright,
I watch my chickens on, not instead of, TV. I have a security camera in the henhouse and use my TV as a monitor. I have no TV antenna, cable, or satellite service. Soon, I'll put up the other camera to cover part of thier outdoor area. Then I'll have two channels of live TV. The...
I have the PoultryNet that Premier sells. Others sell it too but Premier's price was good. Also, if you call, a live, English speaking human answers the phone. The switch you to someone who gives you straight and useful answers to your questions.
My dog got his muzzle zapped and won't go near...
I was suprised that my ten went in on their own. They are 8-9 weeks old and I had expected to have to round them up to get them inside their newly completed henhouse. They went in around 830pm.
