We get a pinkish-brown egg from our Sapphire Olive Eggers...we got them from Tractor Supply in April. Like you, disappointed as we wanted olive-colored eggs.
Hi Penny! I blocked off the nesting boxes until they get old enough to start laying 😎. Hubby built a temporary roost today, the chicks are loving it already! I'm thinking of putting a roost 12" from the wall, a foot or so above the nesting boxes. Will that be far enough away to avoid them...
We got Sapphire Olive Eggers, Olive Eggers, Welsummers, Columbian Wyandots, and Easter Eggers 😂. We believe we have 8 hens out of the 15 😳. Sadly, no roosters allowed in our small town limits.
