When you seperate on of them they panic.What will stop them from pecking her not just on her wound?

We have a 9 month old hen.We think she is at the bottom of the pecking order.Recently she got a bare spot on her wing and my sisters have been applying "no peck" and vaseline to it.How do i stop her from getting hurt?
