Thanks everyone!! I just heard back from the farm where they were originally from and they are a mix between an Americana/Favorolle and an Americana hen. Huh! Who knew? lol

A friend of mine gave me a barnyard mix of chickens. There are Black Copper Marans, Auracanas, and Orpingtons. I have an idea what these are (She didn't know), but I'm putting this to the board! What breed/gender are these two? Pea combs, 5 toes (including the back one), and white legs.

Anyone know what breed of duck this is? Black with a white underbelly, white spots on its back and wings 3 or 4 total per side, black legs, bottom half of face is tan. =]

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =] lol One of our 22 week & 3 day old Buff Orpingtons laid their first egg! I found it when I went to shut the coop up for the night. On the left is our amazing egg and on the right is a store bought large. :D

I have 13 Buff Orpingtons and I want to get some leg bands because they all look the same lol My roosters legs are a lot larger than the hens, so I was wondering what size YOU normally get for similar sized chickens. I want to get the plastic/rubber kind. Thanks!

They are 15 weeks today! And they are Guinea Fowl! They kill snakes, mice, etc and they are an alarm system when predators are around!
