I personally have never had a problem with pecking or anything like that using plain old 60 watt. Then again i hatch out bobwhite quail and Coturnix quail maybe it's different with chickens.
in fact I weighed my quail at 7 weeks and they were averaging 10 to 13 ounces yesterday they hit 8 weeks but I haven't weighed them again yet I read somewhere online that the Jumbo variety can take as long as 10 to 12 weeks to grow is this true just by looking at them I can tell they grown in...
I ordered the xl meat class browns and A&M whites . Eggs came packed so well i think we could of kicked the box around and they would not break. He sent extras and only had two with hairline cracks not bad for over a hundred eggs .I let them sit for 24 hrs in the bator off ofcourse .Cant wait
