At nearly 6 weeks there is a distinct difference in my austalorp chick's combs - obviously cockerel or pullet.. This one however is still deciding, it's comb is taller and redder than the other girls but shorter and paler than the cocks.. Any ideas?
My 6 australorp chickies are just over 3 weeks old. I've been told that I can identify the sex by the size of the comb by this age.. Common sense tells me it's too early, or they are all one sex... Or others more experienced than me know what to look for.. If this is the case, can anyone help me??
