Oh, I think the small gold/brown one is a cutie....just don't have a clue what it is! It is the black and white one in the background that is so ugly. My neighbor laughed so hard when he saw poor black and white roo!
The thermometer checks out with two other wet bulbs and a digital. I really didn't worry so much to much about humidity, just kept water in tubes. I incubated the last batch that this chick came out of at 99.5 which I know now is too low. Between that and shipped eggs =disasterous result!
A glutton for punishment I, set 23 more eggs yesterday at 5PM! I will keep temps higher this go around! BTW, THESE ARE MUTT EGGS FROM MY FLOCK AND MY NEIGHBORS! I bet they all hatch!
He is pecking at chick starter and drinking! I put an old fluffy slipper in his brooder and her hides in the part you put your foot in! Too cute, will try and get pic when I get finished planting today!
One little chick, the one in the picture is still alive, just got on his feet today! Trying to teach it to drink and eat! What else do
I need to do to help this wobbly little baby? It is a blue copper maran....I really hope it makes it!
Thank you all so much for the help and encouragement.
