If the turkey weighs in at 35 pounds, how much does it usually come out after butchering?

How long can you keep a turkey refrigerated vs. frozen after butchering before cooking? I was told by the processor 7 days…that seems like a long time. This is our first time.

Well, this turkey is suffering no longer. I thought the infection was getting better, and then a predator ate him. Now we have a new problem to solve! Not the way I thought it would go. Learning new lessons every day. :(

My young turkey has been battling an infection for about five days. We have tried treating it with a prescription we had on hand for people - an cipro ointment. I don't think it is getting better, in fact, it almost looked this morning like the eye is collapsing. The bird is eating and chirping...
