My polish almost died last week after I found she was retaining an egg. She was able to pass the egg (it was her normal sized egg) ~36hrs and it wasn’t broken but she’s had this butt ever since. Help! Her poop hasn’t gotten better or worse since then and it’s been 1.5wks. Her personality has...
Hi!
This chick appears to be growing up differently than the other chicks that I assumed were the same breed when I purchased 10 from Tractor Supply.
I’m not sure what’s going on. It could just be molting, but it’s around 3 weeks old and the others have barely gotten all their feathers and still...

My roo still has something going on. I still don’t believe it’s mites or anything. Hormones make sense but same with me, never had a rooster with feathers on its feet so it’s throwing me for a loop. He’s also been picking his foot up so I know it’s bothering him. I’m hoping it will figure itself...
Wondering if it’s gotten better for you. My young roo also has something going on with his feet. A vet commented when I posted elsewhere and she had said it may have to do with hormones and the growth of their feathers in the foot. My silkie is still having problems but the rest of the flock...
Hi!
My silkie roo has something going on with his feet. I can’t seem to figure it out exactly based on anything I see online; hopefully someone on here can help!
I’ve cleaned both his feet to get a better look but am still not sure how to treat it. One foot seems far worse than the other. A few...
It appears she may have plucked them out herself when she got a bit broody a few weeks ago. They’re coming in slow but I got a better look and there doesn’t seem to be mites or anything. Just emerging new feathers.. looks concerning maybe because this is my first flock but better safe than sorry! 🙂
All taken at 5 weeks. I have a feeling it’s a roo but leghorn females can also have huge combs so I don’t know if I can just go by that trait. Although I’m 90% sure it’s a roo. :(
Feathers missing from front of neck for 2-3 months, treated 3x with permethrin in the last 2mos for poultry lice around vent, no improvement of neck, no more poultry lice around vent. No bugs visible on neck. No lifting of leg scales. No other chickens with missing feathers. Can’t tell if others...
Two of the chickens refuse to roost every night and so they end up pooping in their nesting boxes lined with turf. None of the 6 have started laying eggs yet but I’m worried it will be an issue when these girls start. I have gone out at night and moved them onto the bars but they continue to...
