My roo still has something going on. I still don’t believe it’s mites or anything. Hormones make sense but same with me, never had a rooster with feathers on its feet so it’s throwing me for a loop. It appears she may have plucked them out herself when she got a bit broody a few weeks ago. They’re coming in slow but I got a better look and there doesn’t seem to be mites or anything. Just emerging new feathers.. looks concerning maybe because this is my first flock but better safe than sorry! 🙂

Thanks for the response! It’s my understanding that the permethrin spreads all over. I’ve applied it all over their coop and run.

All taken at 5 weeks. I have a feeling it’s a roo but leghorn females can also have huge combs so I don’t know if I can just go by that trait. Although I’m 90% sure it’s a roo. :(
