Thanks! My main concerns would be foxes and cats. Possibly snakes and rodents but I'm not sure. It might be too cold for snakes at the moment. I don't know what any of those things are, would the hardware store know?

I'm about to put my six week old chicks out on the verandah in their cage. The cage is made of wood and wire and is totally enclosed, but doesn't have wire on the floor. If I'm putting it on a wooden verandah, not on grass, should I buy some hardware cloth to attach to the bottom of the cage as...
