    hee hee , that's so cute to read. my mom's hens do that to me too when i wear flip flops, and get me hopping around. most of the time that's how i lure them closer so i can pet them.

    oh wow, thank you all very much. especially thank you for the info on the pox - that sounds very likely, although i hope that's not the case. i will continue to watch all of them and see what kind of progress is made.

    thank you so much for your help i'm just glad it isn't anything fatal. i will definitely do as you recommended. thankfully the wounds are no open or bleeding, and the other chicks are treating it nicely. it's actually a little bigger than them too. once again, thank you. all of you are very kind.
