    I went out to the coop this morning and found what looks like intestines in the nest box(they sometimes sleep in there) all of the hens are up and walking, none are missing, any suggestions?

    if you don't put heat in there to start with they will adapt to the cold weather. if you have a heat source in the coop and the power goes out it could send them into another molt in the middle of winter which would be very bad

    Egg laying gone way down

    i have looked everywhere it seems for eggs... (they are hired for easter!) they all seem to be themselves. our neighbors horse was attacked by a coyote about a week and a half ago so i know they are in the area.
