I am just sooooo excited and feel the need to tell the world! My precious Omlet crowed for the first time this morning. I am one proud mama!!!

My sweet chickens turned 6 months old Febuary 13,2012. They are not yet laying eggs. I am not really in any hurry for them to. But I thought I would start them on Laying Pellets. The fellow at the feed store said that most people go with those. I had been feeding them only scratch and kitchen...

Mama Hen: she was brought to me by my father in law. She was a good mama but she terrorized my little chick-chicks. I had to send her and the babies back to my father in law. She was a perfect example of the word mother. Some folks could have learned a thing or two from her.

Omlet and Trudy: Omlet is the black and yellow he thinks he is an Eagle. and Trudy is the redish brown she struts around there like she is the queen of sheba.

I am in the same boat. My babies turned 6 months on Febuary 13...no eggs. My mother in law says my chickens are so spoiled they wont lay eggs they dont even know they are chickens haha. Maybe you have spoiled rotten chickens too.
