i have a grey silkie with a bronze head hen

it has my silkie made a nest out in the grass and she has been laying in the nesting boxes

my chicken did not lay in the laying boxes so what i did that worked is put a golf ball in the nest and the hen will think its an egg and will lay in there because they think a hen has had an egg in there before

my silkie is being feed layers mash and two of my other 6 week old chickens like it and its not hurting them

my silkie is on a layers mash and shes mixed up with two other chicks i have that are 6 weeks now and they like the layers mash
