Hi everyone. I have nine chickens. Four of which are roosters and five are hens. Two of the hens are at the point that they are ready to lay and three are only ready in about a month. What do I feed? Grower or layer feed? Will the layer hurt my roosters?
i'm new at this and I have two chicks that have been sneezing and didn't grow. Their feathers are ruffled and missing in some places and they have a bad smell. I don't know what I should do. I am very worried that my whole flock will get ill.
Sorry to jump in to your thread but i'm new at this and I have two chicks that have been sneezing and didn't grow. Their feathers are ruffled and missing in some places and they have a bad smell. I don't know what I should do.
Thank you for your reply. I have two Langshans and three Delawares. The two small one that are/were sick are Delawares. The healthy Delaware is as big as the Langshans now. I thought it might be because they were sick. Hopefully they will be ok now. I will purchase supplements as you...
Three weeks ago I got five chicks and two of them ended up being sick with difficult breathing. I separated them from the rest and brought them back to being healthy but they seemed to not have grown very much. Does anyone know why this would happen? The other three are about five time bigger...
Thank you. This is very helpful. My chicks are in a box in the kitchen and they are between three weeks and five weeks old. I'm scared to even put them in the basement because I am afraid they will be too cold.
