Idk, he's been pretty sweet and gentle to them. Sometimes he startles them when going to mount them, and if that happens he backs off and leaves them alone for awhile before trying again. He won't even peck her back if she pecks him. He's a cool guy and I love him haha.

The funny thing is she is bottom of the flock, as far as the hens. But she seems to think she's above the rooster, even tho he's above the other hens lol. He was the last chicken to be introduced, but the silkies took to him within a day.

Thanks I was wondering if maybe taking her out of the flock for awhile would lower her in the pecking order, so that she wouldn't try to dominate him?

I have 4 chickens; 2 silkies, an EE, and a mix rooster. The rooster has no problem mating with the silkies, and they love him. But my EE is miss independent and will not let him dominate her. I have seen him do the dominance dance to her, and she immediately pecked him in the face xD funny, but...

"Most Beautiful Creature I Have Ever Had" I love this rooster, but i dont know much about him. I just got him yesterday...an unwanted mix-breed rooster.
