Hi.I just moved to New Hampshire.I have chickens & Indian Runners.I'm getting that straw is a better insulator than pine shavings.I've always used shavings because people said straw gets moldy when wet.My ducks are super messy.My husband is worried about fire.Our temps seem similar to yours so any advice would be great.I read the little runners don't really like cold weather
