I'm hatching duck eggs in a month so I'll be back here soon having a panic, no doubt!

I taped my chicks legs and it worked! It had one leg facing backward and it's foot wasn't working. Taped it with a band aid and everything straightened out, even it's bent toe. Magical.

I'm new here but I had a chick who didn't look like the classic spraddle (the splits) but one leg back and one forward. Back foot wasn't gripping. I used the classic band-aid splint (pics if you google) and it looks much better now. The ligaments don't tighten up straight away in the chicks...

We like to have animals in to visit too. We've had hedgehogs, rabbits, owls, eagles, falcons, tarantulas, pythons, giant hissing cockroaches, giant millipedes, geckos, skinks, corn snakes and a monitor lizard called Oscar! We have our own class pets too - two guinea pigs called hide and seek...

Perhaps in rescuing the one I have caused the others to get shrink wrapped? Or maybe they were already in trouble before the others pipped and that's why they didn't pip? I will try to be patient! Should I crack em open and take pics if they don't pip after day 25? It is all fascinating.

Thanks for the advice. None of the six eggs left have pipped. I have to admit I don't have a hygrometer but the incubator trays are full of water and the temperature is good. The humidity will have dropped when I took out the 5 fluffy chicks and helped Eggbert with hatching but I checked the...
