  • I assume all (?) will lay colored eggs - These girls are from TSC/Hoover, so one never knows what they really are :( Let me know. I assume it would be a month or so (give them a ew weeks to start laying, plus a few weeks to come up to size, egg wise.) I've never shipped eggs/chickens, so assuming can ship them from US to Canada?
If you are still in need of colored egg layers, I would be happy to send you some eggs to incubate, since I have 4 girls & a Roo. (Also have 1 female cuckoo marans...could include some of her eggs - should be an olive egger) Girls should start laying anytime now...combs are starting to color.
    Hi Kris,

I've been reading on BYBob's thread (still way behind!) Are you still looking for colored egg layers? I got some Americauna 'pullet' chicks this spring - near POL now. HOWEVER...one was a Roo.
Good luck on your future plan's on crossing the Ranger's with your other breed's for the meat-bird's!

Thanks, I will share when I get to the next milestone! Like being able to separate the pullets out! Time to break out legbands and the note pad

I've been following CompostKing's thread because I find it interesting, plus I also have the Naked Neck's like he's starting to work with on crossing to the Ranger's. I don't know how well the Ranger's would handle my hot desert summer's here though.
