I was so shocked when I cracked it open that I didn’t pay too much attention to what may of been a very small thick something reminded me of the sack that engulfs the actual egg, membrane is it?
Hi I had a fox or feral cat attack my flock of 5 a year ago. One of my girls was in a bad way. Breathing but floppy. She couldn’t hold her head up for over 2 weeks. My husband suggested I might need to put her out of her misery but I persevered. I thought I’ll give you one more week. I had to...
She seems perfectly normal to me. I have 5 different chickens and they have only started laying after the longest time approximately 6 months. I think it was all the rain.
My Maron’s first egg was a double yoke. Now this weird one.
Also I acknowledge your condolences thank you but my chickens thankfully survived it’s just cricket not doing to well I’m assuming she is in shock and I’m hoping she will recover.
Thou I’m not far from a national park. Other people on the area have lost their chickens to foxes but in the 6 years of having chickens I’ve never seen one near out yard. But my husband did see a cat on the fence a couple of days ago.
