I have 5 chickens and got about 70-80 eggs Is that good?
I'm not sure the age of them as the neighbour was giving them away due to ill health. But they are definately very spoiled
Well i throw some treats into the pond for the ducks but the chickens once jumped in cos they wanted the treats too (even thou I gave theirs separate!). And they quickly rush out, now when I throw treats in the pond again, they don't chance it. But my chickens definitely don't mind the rain!

We had up to knee high snow and cos we're quite high up we were freezing cold. The chickens didn't come out of their coop once, so we put extra straw and extra food to keep them warm. Especially an extra cup of mash at night before bedtime so their...
We have kites in the area but they don't tend to go for the chickens, however the other day we kept seeing crows looking at our chicken coop and then we found a crow feather inside the coop! But thankfully none of the birds were hurt, I think a chicken's peck scared it off!
We have chickens and they never lay any eggs during the winter months till one week they surprised us when the frost started to decrease, the eggs started to come again! Our neighbor told us it wasn't uncommon as during winter any poultry tend not to lay eggs during the winter season.
