    Introducing chickens and guineas. Anything I should know?

    My chickens and guineas get along great. One of the chickens even took over hatching and raising some guinea keets when the mother guinea had had enough. Now the guineas will go off together but roost with the chickens and take baths with them etc.

    They greatly reduced the tick population where we are and I think they are quite fun to watch. I like the eggs too and the way they don't mess up the garden as much as the chickens do.

    Guinea eggs

    I love eating the guinea eggs. I leaned a board up in the run and made a little secret corner for them in the coop and that is where they like to lay their eggs. If I let them out too much they will find a place in the bushes somewhere and it takes some stealth to follow and find them.

    Mine are laying much less now, maybe one or two eggs a day from a flock with 6 girls. I don't know how ship them, though.
