I've been told that the winters are relatively mild and short but I've experienced only summer and it's HOT and HUMID.- megush

The hubs and I will be moving to Pickens county in a month or so and are super excited about getting chickens! Are there breeds that fare better in the Upstate than others? Any particular resources I should know about in my area? We know we can't know it all before we start but I'm trying to...- megush

My husband and I are so looking forward to getting chickens soon! We are closing on a house with some land in a few weeks and while I've been doing a lot of research, I still have a LOT of questions. I'm so glad to find a resource with so many knowledgeable people willing to share their insight :-)- megush
