Are you sure its speckeled we had eggs we thought were speckled until we scrubbed them with a rough pad and it came off. Im gonna say its the rocks. Not normal but possible.

I would use a RIR rooster to a americuana or buff hen. My americauna hens a egg laying crazy, plus you can get brown and green eggs.
