How long until you saw improvement?

Yes both legs are now bad. I look at the leg she had been mainly using and the joint seems swollen and crooked. She stopped using this leg 3 days ago. My best guess is that the leg was too stressed but I thought she would be able to adapt since she is so young.

No they didn't seem to make any difference. I have given these since hatch.

Update: so about 3 days ago this baby chick's stopped using the other good leg. She is still eating and drinking but has a really hard time getting around. At first she wasn't moving around much but now I see her in different places throughout the day. With two bad legs it seems like it may be...

I just moved my four-week Old baby chicks out to the chicken coop. We have a rat problem and I'm nervous to leave the food out there all night long. My question is will the rats bother such young chickens? And do chickens this age need food through the night? Thanks for the responses.

The eyes seemed like they were getting better with nightly washcloth wipes. But now the chick is loosing feathers around both eyes and having trouble closing again. She can close it if I wipe and soak. Any ideas??? I'm sure someone has seen this before.

If it makes you feel better the chick would have died anyway. In the last 3 days before hatch the egg need to be at 75% humidity to properly hydrate the membrane between the chick and the shell. Without the proper humidity the membrane gets too dry an the chick can't hatch. Thats why after a...

I have a week old baby chick who need daily eye soaks to keep it from crusting closed. I separated from other babies but I have noticed he/she can't close it all of the way when sleeping. He/she also has water poop and paste but. I've attached a pic. Started Neosporin and waiting for Terramycin...
