Thanks for the replies. No feather pickers; haven't seen any mites - not sure what they would look like, but haven't seen any on eggs or coop, etc., as I've heard described. No roosters, all happy hens; aren't distressed. How do I treat for mites? Thanks.

We have 8 RI Red hens; two or three have bald behinds; I noticed one is very thin on covering up front. What is it and what do I do? Thanks.
