what all veggie scraps are safe for roosters?

It could be. It could also be that something is trying to get into the run. I would watch for predators. Mine got loud right before a fox got them

It MAY be that different species incubate differently. I'd give them a week then start looking for possible problems

Do they have free range access?

I was asking about nests because there could be a rat or something hiding that is stressing the birds
