I know its tempting, but if its been pipped for less then 24 hours, don't help it. Unless its been its stayed the same for 24 hours or the cheeps are getting weaker or have stopped, don't help it. I've had a chick die because I helped it too soon. Be patient! Happy Hatching!
Hi! It shouldn't take long. Its probably just tired. I would let it rest. If it doesn't get up by tomorrow, dip its beak into some electrolyte water. Mix 1 cup water, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda together.

I have 19 mixed breed eggs. Hoping to hatch out some mutts!
In those nineteen I also have a cracked egg. How can I seal it up? I've used wax before but that egg got bacteria on it a day after.
Last week we went to Trader Joe's since I've read a cuople of threads on them having fertilized eggs but we went there and there were only cage free eggs. So is it that only this one doesn't have any or does Trader Joe not sell them any more?
